What is Astro?
Astro is an open-source web framework for content-driven websites. Pages are rendered as static HTML, and JavaScript loads only for the interactive parts that need it. That makes Astro sites fast by default, which helps search rankings and conversion. Since January 2026, Astro has been part of Cloudflare and remains open source. Two Point O builds Astro front-ends on headless CMSs like Contentful, Sanity and Storyblok.
Speed by default, not by optimisation sprint
Most websites ship far more JavaScript than visitors need. Every extra kilobyte slows the first load, hurts Core Web Vitals and costs conversions. Astro flips the default: pages ship as plain HTML, and only interactive components load JavaScript.
